Description
- These materials are solid opaque coloured sheets of acrylic, with a pearlescent tint.
- The back is is slightly different to the front (similar, but less pearlescent).
- 'Matte' in the names of some of these colours is used to describe the colour tone, not the finish texture. That is, they have a gloss surface regardless of the name.

Laser Marks
We find that tightly cut corners show dark marks (in reaction to the laser cutting), which is visible on lighter colours.
Front vs Back
These materials are similar front and back; but the back is typically lighter in tone and less pearlescent. This material varies between batches, and has some imperfections that are to be expected (some sheets typically arrive to us with some marks and scuffs).Recommended Uses
- Is great as a substitute for solid acrylic when you want to give pieces a 'fancier' look.
- Is a subtle way to bring in a little more 'glamour', so can work well as jewellery pieces for corporate work environments.
- Looks great when paired with natural finishes like bamboo, as the contrast between shiny/made-made vs. natural, soft textures is highlighted.
More Information
- Cuts well and leaves a clean, smooth edge line that typically shows the core colour on the sides.
- Engraves well and can hold fine details (engraved areas typically have a frosted white appearance). Engraving looks most effective on darker colours (so that it will show contrast), or when used for paint filling.
- Comes with a protective tape coating that will need to be peeled off.
- It is difficult to capture colour correctly; allow for slight variation from monitor to reality.
